Vlatko Cancar has a fracture in his right foot. He is expected to be sidelined for a considerable amount of time, per Denver Nuggets insider Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports.

Cancar, 24, was hurt against the Dallas Mavericks Monday. The Nuggets ruled him out for the remainder of the Regular Season fixture due to the right foot injury and confirmed the fracture following the medical tests. Surgery is among the options moving forward, as noted in the update on his injury.

The Slovenian player was earning more playing time in recent weeks as multiple teammates were forced to the sidelines. His effort made out 4.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists over 14 appearances in the 2021-22 Regular Season.

He was picked up by the Nuggets with the 49th overall pick of the 2017 NBA draft. Over his first couple of NBA campaigns, Cancar put up 1.9 points and 1.1 rebounds per contest over 60 appearances between the Regular Season and Playoffs, apart from playing in the G League. Carried European experience featured stints at San Pablo Burgos, Mega, and Olimpija.

Other long-term injuries include Jamal Murray (left knee), Michael Porter Jr. (lumbar spine), and P.J. Dozier (left knee) with the latter two not expected to return this season. Markus Howard (left knee) is out as well with Monte Morris and Jeff Green in the health and safety protocols. In addition, Austin Rivers (right thump) and Zeke Nnaji (health and safety protocols) are listed as questionable for the home game versus the Utah Jazz scheduled to be held Wednesday night.
