Who would last an NBA Finals series, the 2017 Golden State Warriors or the 1996 Chicago Bulls? Stephen Curry gives his own take

The 1996 Chicago Bulls is widely regarded as the greatest team in NBA history and arguably so. What would happen though if the Warriors dynasty 2017 squad was to face that team? Warriors superstar Steph Curry believes his team would outlast a match-up and even win in it Game 6, as he commented in an interview with GQ Sports.

Curry went on to answer questions from the fans and it wasn’t long before a user asked, “fully healthy, do you believe the Warriors with KD could have beaten the ’96 Bulls in a seven-game finals?”.

“Absolutely”, Curry answered without hesitation. “Obviously we will never know, but you put us on paper with them, I like our chances. I’d say Dubs in 6, too.”

Much like the 1996 Chicago Bulls which ultimately won six titles in the 90s, the “Dynasty” Warriors with Kevin Durant on board have been one of the strongest, most dominant teams in NBA history. With three championships between 2015 and 2018, they are also among the most successful NBA team since the turn of the century. As Curry himself noted, we won’t ever know what would happen, though the similarities in both teams reasonably bring up a “what if” question for fans around the world.
