The Washington Wizards got their second straight win but in the last night’s victory over Oklahoma, things didn’t go as smoothly as expected. Off the court. Montrezl Harrell and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope certainly had something to say to each other.
According to The Atheltic, the two players got into a physical altercation at halftime and had to be separated by teammates, with additional security joining later on in order to prevent another scuffle.
Harrell became upset with Caldwell-Pope for not passing him the basketball on a play before the first half concluded, and the two started jawing during the walk to the locker room. As the two exchanged words, Harrell and Caldwell-Pope took swings toward each other — with neither connecting — and became entangled before teammates separated them. By the time players entered the locker room, the altercation had ended, per the report.
Washington sits in the ninth spot in the Eastern Conference with a 21-20 record, training behind the sixth-seed Cleveland Cavaliers who are at 23-18.
