Dennis Schroder delivered buckets and dimes when the Celtics were in need.

Dennis Schroder had 23 points, nine assists and five rebounds as the Boston Celtics defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 104 – 92 after a comeback from down 18 in the first half. It’s the Celtics‘ fifth victory over the last six games and the Pelicans‘ second loss in a row.

Schroder shot 9-16 and was the only Celtic with solid 3-point shooting, finishing with 3-5 while the rest of his teammates combined for 8-27. He also scored the go-ahead triple for the 69 – 67 – Boston’s first lead in the game – late in the third period and then added a basket to put the Celtics up 71 – 69 at the end of the quarter. His team never looked back.

Jayson Tatum produced 27 points for the Celtics, dropping 21 of them in their second half. Jaylen Brown added 23 points while Enes Kanter Freedom completed the match with two points plus five rebounds.

Jonas Valanciounas finished the game with 22 points plus 14 rebounds for his 30th double-double in 2021-22.
