Gary Payton II could return for the Finals if the Golden State Warriors manage to pull through

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

Gary Payton II is expected to miss approximately a month with a fractured left elbow, per multiple reports.

Payton was injured when Dillon Brooks chased him down the court during a fast break, hitting the Warriors guard in the head mid-air. Payton went down hard while Brooks was ejected after review.

This happened just a few minutes into Game 2. The NBA has also been investigating if Brooks should receive a suspension.

The Warriors will have to close the series, which is currently tied at 1-1, without Payton who will be out for at least three weeks but can hope that he will potentially return for the Finals if Golden State succeeds in advancing.
