Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks demolished the Phoenix Suns in Game 7 to advance to the Western Conference finals, where they will meet the Golden State Warriors and the Slovenian sensation was all smiles in his post-game press conference.

“You can’t get this smile off my face right now,” said Doncic, who posted a double-double of 35 points and 10 rebounds along with four assists in 30 minutes. “I’m just really happy”.

“Honestly, I think we deserve this. We’ve been playing hard the whole series. Maybe a couple of games here we weren’t ourselves, but we came here with a statement in Game 7. We believed. Our locker room believed. Everybody believed. So I’m just happy.”

“It’s not on me. It was the whole team today,” added Doncic, who sat out the fourth quarter after the Mavs had secured a broad lead towards the victory. “Today was just incredible. I’ve never seen a performance on Game 7 like this. I can’t remember the last time that somebody went to the away game and did this, so I’m really proud of what we did today.”

Mavs were the last to secure their ticket to the conference finals and now both Eastern and Western Conference pairs are set, with Boston Celtics also getting through Sunday after beating the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 7.
