Goran Dragic was pretty quick to retrace the crazy dunk Derrick Rose threw down on him in 2010.

Dragic, 36, was among the player talking during the preseason Media Day held by the Chicago Bulls Monday. The conclusion of the press conference resurfaced the poster dunk.

“This is my nightmare,” he explained before the reporter actually finished the question. The Dragon continued revealing a later discussion with the former NBA MVP.

“The funny thing, this was the only time that somebody dunk on me in my whole NBA career,” he pointed out smiling throughout the answer, “I even talked to Derrick. We were in Zagreb together when we had an Adidas campaign and I said ‘You had to do it like that?’ I was young. At least I’m on TV all the time.”

From 2010 to 2022, it has been plenty of seasons in the NBA. Dragic is also known for a long international career and was there for Slovenia in this summer’s 2022 EuroBasket. “I did not play for my national team because I had to, but because it was a great opportunity to prepare myself for the NBA season,” he explained.

Fellow European player, Nikola Vucevic did not make his way to EuroBasket. The two-time NBA All-Star is pleased with the additional depth to the squad, including the Dragon.

“The thing for us this year is about taking the step further from that we took last year,” he mentioned, “Obviously, the East is better but we are also better as a team. We had a year playing together all of us and we added some veteran experience that is going to help us. We have more depth.”
