Theo Maledon didn’t remain a free agent for long after he was cut by the Houston Rockets. According to Shams Charania, Maledon is signing a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets to remain in the NBA.

Maledon, 21, was traded to the Rockets from the Oklahoma City Thunder on September 30. He was coming off his sophomore season in the NBA, in which he averaged 7.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 17.8 minutes over 51 games.

The Thunder signed Maledon in December 2020 after acquiring his rights from the Philadelphia 76ers. The French player had spent his first years as a pro with ASVEL Villeurbanne, that is owned by Tony Parker.
