As reported by Sarah Todd of the Deseret News, Simone Fontecchio and Rudy Gay will both miss the Utah Jazz‘s encounter with the Denver Nuggets, entering the NBA’s COVID-19 health and safety protocol.
The former Baskonia player, who lead Italy to the EuroBasket 2022 quarter-finals, had the opportunity to prove himself against the Houston Rockets, playing 16 minutes and scoring 13 points. He went scoreless in the following game against Houston.
This is his first NBA experience after becoming one of the brightest European stars in the EuroLeague landscape, first with ALBA Berlin and then with Baskonia.
The Utah Jazz are currently 1st in the Northwest Division with a 4-1 record.
