Earlier in the week, Nikola Jokic praised Alperen Sengun by saying that “he’s very talented” and that the Houston Rockets “should play more through him”.

After the 129-113 loss against the Serbian superstar and the Denver Nuggets, Jalen Green agreed with the two-time NBA MVP and commented on his teammate.

“Alperen looks up to him, and I think that’s really good praise. I agree with what he is saying. I feel we will get a lot more open three’s running the offense from Alperen. It’s a lot of inside-outside game, and I think it opens up the middle of the floor for him”, he said about Sengun.

Coach Stephen Silas also talked about the Turkish 20-year-old upcoming superstar. “I’m sure Jokic sees himself in Alperen. It’s great to have an MVP to say that one of our players is a good player who can tap into defenses in a similar way that he does”, he said.

Alperen Sengun, who recently had a monstrous double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds against the Oklahoma City Thunder, has averaged 15.4 points (54.6% FG), 9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.1 blocks through 17 games in the 2022-23 NBA Regular Season.
