The New York Knicks are looking to unload swingman Evan Fournier’s contract and are trying to find ways to make the deal appealing to other clubs.

According to The Athletic’s Fred Katz, the Knicks want to preserve their draft assets and have informed teams that either one of two players can be included in a potential trade for Fournier: Immanuel Quickley or Cam Reddish.

Per The Athletic:

They fielded calls on Fournier leading into last winter’s trade deadline and then again over the summer. He has two seasons, including this one, remaining on his contract and hasn’t touched the court in three weeks. But it’s not like they’re desperate to send him out of town. The Knicks have not shown any interest in attaching draft picks to Fournier just to move him, league sources said…

They also have communicated that they are willing to attach Quickley or Reddish to Fournier to make a trade work, league sources said.

Fournier is averaging 6.9 points, his lowest-scoring output since his rookie year in 2012-23, after finishing the previous season with 14.1 points. He’s shooting a career-low 34.4 percent from the field.

After beginning the season as a starter, he was demoted to beginning at the bench around November and was last used on 13/11 during a 145-135 home loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The captain of the French national team has 0-5 over 20 minutes in that match.
