After his historic 60-20-10 performance against the New York Knicks, Luka Doncic delivered another triple-double to push the Dallas Mavericks to another win.

Doncic scored 35 points, dished out 13 assists and grabbed 12 rebounds for his eighth triple-double in 2022-23 as the Mavs beat the Houston Rockets 129 – 114 to register their fifth straight victory. The Slovenian superstar already had a 30-point triple-double by the third quarter, something he’s now achieved five times throughout his career.

Mavericks coach Jason Kidd was pleased to see other players contributing such as Christian Wood (21 points on 5-8 triples, four blocks), Dwight Powell (season-high 19 points) or Tim Hardaway Jr. (18 points). “I thought this was a great team win,” Kidd said. “We didn’t have to rely on Luka.”

Two days following a scoreless match in a loss to the Boston Celtics, Alperen Sengun had 11 points plus six rebounds for the Rockets. Usman Garuba posted nine points plus nine rebounds while Boban Marjanovic had six points against his former team.

In his first appearance since mid November, Evan Fournier scored 11 points over 17 minutes off the bench as the New York Knicks fell to the San Antonio Spurs 115 – 122.
