Nikola Jokic started the year in the best way possible, producing a triple-double with incredible shooting percentages in Denver’s 123-111 win against the Boston Celtics.

The back-to-back NBA MVP had 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists, being perfect from the free throw line (12/12) and really efficient from the field (10/13).

The Slovenian forward Vlatko Cancar came off the bench, scoring 8 points in 17 minutes.

Another back-to-back MVP missed his team’s game. Giannis Antetokounmpo was out in Milwaukee’s 118-95 loss at home against the Washington Wizards due to left knee soreness.

Kristaps Porzingis made advantage of that, scoring 22 points with 5 rebounds to help his team. He was joined by Deni Avdija, who came off the bench with a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Finally, the Sacramento Kings lost 118-108 against Memphis despite a double-double of 18 points and 14 boards by Domantas Sabonis, with 4 assists and 8/14 from the field.
