The former Miami Heat center and the 31-year-old guard will move their talents to Puerto Rico

After spending several years in the NBA, Hassan Whiteside and Brandon Knight have been announced by the Puerto Rican side Piratas de Quebradillas.

The former Miami Heat center, who last played with the Utah Jazz in the 2021-22 NBA Season, averaged 12.6 points and 10.8 rebounds in his 511-game career.

After joining the Miami Heat in 2014, Whiteside was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2016, when he also led the NBA in blocks. He led the league in rebounding in 2017. He was traded to Portland Trail Blazers and again led the league in blocks in his first season with Portland.

Brandon Knight played one season of college basketball for Kentucky before being selected by the Detroit Pistons in the 2011 NBA draft.

After two seasons with the Pistons, he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. He spent a season and a half in Milwaukee before being traded to the Phoenix Suns in February 2015. In August 2018, he was traded to the Houston Rockets. At the 2019 trade deadline, he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers before being traded back to the Pistons at the 2020 trade deadline.
