Domantas Sabonis continues to shine, but Sacramento lost to Boston; Orlando defeated Kristaps Porzingis’s Washington

Last two week’s best player in the Wester Conference, Domantas Sabonis, recorded his 12th triple-double of the season, but Sacramento lost heavily to Boston 109-132.

The Lithuanian big man scored 16 points, with 13 rebounds and 12 assists, and with Nikola Jokic is the only other center with ten or more triple-doubles.

Only Wilt Chamberlain among centers had 10+ triple-double seasons before, so this is the first season in NBA history where multiple centers recorded a double-digit number of triple-doubles.

Orlando Magic defeated Washington Wizards 122-112 at home in a match marked by European players.

Franz Wagner had 20 points for the winning side, Paolo Banchero almost recorded a triple-double with 18 points, nine boards, and eight assists, while Franz’s older brother Mo Wagner finished the match with 15 points.

Orlando’s European trio overshadowed Kristaps Porzingis’s 30 point-performance and Deni Avdija’s double-double of 15 points and ten rebounds.

European centers clashed in New Orlean’s 119-84 win over San Antonio Spurs, as Jonas Valanciunas and Willy Hernangomez went victorious.

The experienced Lithuanian big man had a double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds, while the MVP of last EuroBasket added seven points and three rebounds.

On the other side, Sandro Mamukelashvili had another excellent game in Spurs‘ jersey, ending as the top scorer of Gregg Popovich’s team with 20 points and five boards.

Atlanta Hawks defeated Detroit Pistons 129-107, with Bogdan Bogdanovic scoring 18 points for the winning side and Clint Capela reaching a double-double of 12 and 16 rebounds.

French prospect Killian Hayes had another solid game with 21 points and six assists for the losing team.

Cleveland Cavaliers won in Brooklyn 115-109, with Cedi Osman scoring 12 and Ricky Rubio adding eight points for the winning side.

Oklahoma surprised LA Clippers 101-100, with Ivica Zubac scoring 13 and Nicolas Batum five points for the defeated team.
