During the NBA Night, the San Antonio Spurs lost 130-94 on the road against the Milwaukee Bucks, in what was a special game for Sandro Mamukelashvili, who started his NBA career with this team. The Georgian player had 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists in the loss.

“I went from the coldest place in the world to the warmest. In Milwaukee, you didn’t want to go outside. Here I have AC in my room. When somebody gives you an opportunity, you want to take it. I had the opportunity to go out there and play free, make some mistakes and learn from my mistakes and play around with the guys. It’s a good opportunity to showcase what I can do. I’m thankful and glad”, he said.

Before the game against the Bucks, the 23-year-old Georgian shared his love for the Bucks. “I love Milwaukee. When I was there, I started walking. They made my dream come true. They drafted me and gave me an opportunity to be around the top players in the league. Going back there, I’m really excited to see Bobby Portis, Jrue Holiday, and Giannis (Antetokounmpo). I just have to give them a big hug”, Mamukelashvili added.

The new San Antonio Spurs‘ addition has been averaging 9.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists since joining the Texan franchise. He was praised by Gregg Popovich as well.
