Bruce Brown capitalized on his successful season with the Denver Nuggets in the best possible fashion. Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Brown has agreed to a two-year, $45 million deal with the Indiana Pacers.

This is quite the pay increase for Brown. He had signed a two-year deal with the Nuggets last summer that earned him $6,479,000 in 2022-23 while having $6.8 million option for next season. After winning the NBA championship with Denver, the 26-year-old swingman opted out of his contract, choosing to explore his free agency options, and now got rewarded by signing a lucrative deal with the Pacers.

Brown averaged 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists in the playoffs and had a key presence in the Finals against the Miami Heat. In Game 6, he delivered 21 points off the bench to help the Nuggets win 108 – 95 and go up 3-1 in the series before claiming the title at home in Game 7.

It was difficult for the Nuggets to retain Brown. They were unable to offer him more than $7.8 million for next season and the player was naturally going to test the market and look for a bigger contract after the season he had.
