After the game, Giannis Antetokounmpo took time to talk about the playmaker’s performance. “He makes plays down the stretch, he’s gonna lead the team and make shots to put us in the right position. He’s gotta be aggressive throughout the whole game, and create for himself. He was unbelievable today”, he first commented about the former Portland Trail Blazers superstar.
Then, he continued by mentioning the accolade Damian Lillard broke during his first game with the new franchise. “The most points in a debut for a Milwaukee Bucks player: it says a lot about him and his character, what he brings to the table, and to this team. I’m very excited and the team is very excited to go through the season with him”, the Greek superstar followed.
