Nikola Jokic continues dominating the NBA League. At the start of inagural NBA Cup, Serbian center clashed with another European superstar, Luka Doncic, and had a blast.

He led Denver Nuggets to the victory with 33 points and 14 rebounds, just an assists shy of his 108th career triple-double. All of that shooting an impressive 14/16 from the field.

Jokic gave another brilliant performance at the start of the season, continuing where he left in last season’s NBA finals, becoming the fifth center in NBA history to reach 4.000 career assists, after the greats Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Alvan Adams, Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell, according to Justin Kubatko.

Serbian center produced at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and five assists with 75% shooting in three of his last four games, and the only other player to record such a feat in four matches is legendary Chamberlain, back in 1966.

Even Denver’s coach Michael Malone is in awe of how consistent the Joker is.

He is a great player, an efficient player and what I marvel at is just the consistency. The guy is just great every night. Do you know how hard that is? He makes it look so easy,” Malone said after the game.

Two-time MVP is averaging 27,3 points, 12,2 rebounds and 7,7 assisst, with 64,5% shooting from the field, being Top 10 in all the mentioned statistical categories at the start of 2023/24 season. It seems there’s no stopping him.
