Despite the Sacramento Kings sending him to their affiliate G-League franchise, it appears like Filip Petrusev was recalled only a few hours later by the NBA after stopping by with the Stockton Kings.
The former Anadolu Efes and Crvena Zvezda center was present on Sacramento’s bench during the 121-118 win in overtime against the Portland Trail Blazers with Domantas Sabonis dominating and flirting with the triple-double, but he didn’t step on the court under Mike Brown’s team.
Training next to last year’s EuroLeague MVP Sasha Vezenkov could possibly help him get some more minutes along the way during the season after getting the silver medal at the 2023 FIBA World Cup with Serbia and passing by the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Clippers thus far.
