Boston Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown follows former teammate Jabari Parker at FC Barcelona.

“I have seen maybe a couple of games,” he mentioned praising the decision of Parker to join the Catalonia giant.

Parker, 28, averaged 9.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest over his first nine appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, helping Barca build a 7-2 record and sit second on the table. Tallying 8.8 points behind 45.6% from the field describes his efforts so far in Spain’s Liga Endeda.

“Jabari was one of my favorite teammates,” Brown referred to playing alongside the Duke product in the 2021-22 season, “Being able to develop a relationship… He is just a great guy. I wish him well.”

“Barcelona is a place I got to spend some time, not this past summer, but the summer before,” he added on his personal experience in the city, “So, I am rooting for him for sure.”

Brown, 27, was not kind to the in-season tournament court of the Toronto Raptors. A possible injury to his groin was a result of constantly slipping in Scotiabank Arena on Friday. Nevertheless, he pushed the Celtics to the road win and a league-leading 10-2 W-L tally.

The Atlanta native was picked with the third overall selection of the 2016 NBA draft by the Celtics. In contrast to numerous moves for Parker during his career between the league based in North America and Europe, Brown has been in Boston through all eight campaigns of his professional run.
