A miscommunication between the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers generates unlikely events

Sitting down with JJ Redick as the most recent guest on “The Old Man and the Three” podcast, Tyrese Haliburton revealed an anticlimactic ending to the events following the franchise record and individual best set by Giannis Antetokounmpo on December 13.

The Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers disagreeing on which was the correct ball created confusion. Building on surrounding intensity and visibly upset, the Greek Freak was actually chasing the backup ball, according to Haliburton.

“I think one of our assistants, Mike Weinar, had the basketball. Had a basketball, not the basketball, a basketball. And he walked off with it. And I think Giannis saw it,” detailed the 23-year-old American point guard, struggling to hold off laughter recalling the incident.

“They had the basketball the whole time, which has been since proven,” he delivered the conclusion, “The Bucks had the ball the whole time.”

Other topics of discussion included the Pacers and the 65-game rule.
