Intriguing twists to the Saturday media day installment featuring Luka Doncic, heading to the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.
Doncic, 24, followed Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey Semifinals matchup opposite Valencia, besides answering questions.
“I’m watching Real Madrid playing now,” noted the Slovenian sensation, a former player of Los Blancos until 2018 before moving his talents to North America and taking the league by storm. The team coached by Chus Mateo went on to secure a convincing win against Valencia and advance to the Final of the domestic Cup in Spain on Saturday.
Stepping up to talk with gathered reporters after practice, Doncic did not notice Team West teammate Nikola Jokic sneaking in to casually empty a water bottle on his back.
Fun and games were already on between Jokic and Doncic. Both are familiar with the current settings. A sixth appearance in the annual All-Star Game for the Joker with Doncic following with a fifth showing, combined with numerous humorous interactions between the Serbian and Slovenian superstars.

Doncic also met with the press, answering on several issues, including his presence in the pre-Olympic tournament in Greece, possibly against Giannis Antetokounmpo.
