The Oklahoma City Thunder are waiving Aleksej Pokusevski, according to Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Serbian forward was the Thunder‘s No. 17 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and played around 150 games across almost four years, averaging 7,9 points, 4,9 rebounds and 2,1 assist in regular season.

The 22-year-old Serbian forward played his last game on February 10th in a defeat against Dallas, where he only received six minutes of playing time. Since the beginning of 2024, he has only accumulated 18 minutes, with seven against Charlotte and five against San Antonio.

Pokusevski was drafted in 2020 at the 17th position by Minnesota but was traded to Oklahoma three days later in a three-team trade. After a promising start in the NBA, injuries led to a decrease in playing time and eventually cost him his spot on the team. In his rookie season, he was the youngest active player in the NBA.

Before going overseas, he was part of the Olympiacos setup, becoming the youngest player of the Piraeus team to ever debut in the EuroLeague.
