Golden State Warriors recently fell to the Boston Celtics 140-88 on the road but reacted by defeating the Milwaukee Bucks 125-90 at home.

Giannis Antetokounmpo returned to the court after some Achilles injury problems but couldn’t help the Bucks pair with the Warriors determined to bounce back, admitting he wasn’t aware of their heavy defeat to the Celtics.

They lost? I don’t watch basketball. That’s incredible. Good job by the Celtics. Obviously, when a team like this loses, especially when it’s a winning mentality team, you know they will be ready, they will go to see the video, they will prepare in practice, and they will come out to set the tone. It makes sense because of how they started the game, played very hard, moved the ball very well, everyone got involved, they were guarding, attacking, and everyone was on the same page. So usually, when you lose by 30, 40, 50 points, in the next game, the team tries to set the tone,” Giannis said after the defeat in San Francisco.

Milwaukee had a good stretch of games before the visit to the Chase Center, winning six in a row.

At the end of the day, we have to become better. They scored 125 points, had 75 after the first six minutes of the third period. I believe we were aggressive, we were physical, we forced them to take difficult shots, and they had 5-8 points in the first few minutes. After that, the ball stopped moving, not everyone touched the ball, not everyone gave energy, our defense was not as good. It’s one game; we have played six and a half great games. We have three on this road trip; we need to go to the next one, and hopefully, be locked in, play better, move the ball better, and win the game.”

The injury is behind the Greek Freak, who wants to continue building chemistry with his new partner in crime, Damian Lillard.

I’m fine. In the last game, I didn’t feel 100%. I’m trying to play as many games as I can this year. It was the third game I missed, but I want to be on the court, try to build chemistry with the guys, try to build chemistry with Dame. I think the more we play together, the better for us. But at the end of the day, if I don’t feel that I can protect myself out there, I try not to take the risk,” Antetokounmpo concluded.
