Playing with various injuries can be tricky, besides risking a spell on the injury list. Giannis Antetokounmpo dealing with left hamstring soreness extended into the matchup versus the Philadelphia 76ers in Fiserv Forum.

“It popped up against the Clippers,” he said about picking up the injury during the game against the Los Angeles Clippers in Crypto.com Arena, the opener of the most recent installment of NBA Sundays. The Greek Freak went on to complete a five-game road trip on the west coast of the United States on Tuesday and lead the way in a comeback win against the Sixers on Thursday.

“You do not play with calves and hamstring. They are shaky. If you have a strain or whatever the case might be, it is here and gets bigger and bigger. That says pretty much that you are going to be longer out,” he explained after posting a 32-point, 11-rebound double-double, “You do not mess with stuff like that but I felt in a good place. I think I was at 100% or maybe not, but I felt in a good place and that I was able to compete. I was able to control myself. I am happy that I did.”

Returning to action on the next edition of NBA Sundays, the team coached by Doc Rivers entertains the Phoenix Suns in Fiserv Forum. At 43-24, the Bucks trail the leading Boston Celtics by 9.5 games and sit half a game ahead of the third-placed Cleveland Cavaliers.
