The New York Knicks piled up two wins since O.G. Anunoby was cleared for action earlier this week. The British swingman was sidelined for nearly seven weeks after surgery on his right elbow to remove a loose bone fragment.

Landing in New York via trade midway through the 2023-24 NBA Regular Season, the team coached by Tom Thibodeau is 14-2 with Anunoby in the lineup. From 15.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game before the injury setback, the former Indiana standout playing through pain has 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game over two outings.

“It is just sore,” he referred to his operated elbow after the game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, relays Fred Katz of The Athletic, “Nothing really happened. Just went for a ball. And it hurt randomly, but it is fine.”

“We were expecting there to be bumps and bruises like that,” added Thibodeau.

Jalen Brunson dropping 45 points paved the way for a comfortable win in Moda Center.

“I think as a team we getting better every day,” mentioned 23-year-old Belgian Toumani Camara after tallying seven points, four assists, three rebounds, and three steals for the losing side, “New York is a very good team. They have a lot of veterans. They know what they are doing in every position. So, just another chance to be able to learn from that. I think we had a lot of good moments.”
