Nikola Jokic did his thing but lacked some luck in the dying moments. After recording another monstrous triple-double, he had a chance to win the game with the buzzer but came up short, and the Los Angeles Clippers survived.

After the match, the player with the most triple-doubles in NBA history, Russell Westbrook, made his comments on the Serbian man and the Denver Nuggets‘ leader.

Well, listen, there ain’t nobody like me. There ain’t nobody like me. We’re gonna stop there. Nobody like me. Nikola is one hell of a player, but he’s not me, and I’m not him. Obviously, he’s won MVP twice. He’s a tough guard, an excellent passer, knows how to play the right way, and competes every single night. Tonight, we got the best of him,” Westbrook said.

With averages of 26.5 points, 12.4 rebounds, and nine assists per game, Jokic is the first favorite to win his third MVP award. On the other side, Westbrook is averaging 11.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in 64 regular-season appearances for the Clippers.
