The NBA Playoffs are live, and the team with the best score in the regular season started on the right foot.

The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat at TD Garden 114-94, taking a 1-0 lead in the first-round series.

The European representative on the Celtics team, Kristaps Porzingis, was among the best on the winning side with 18 points and four rebounds.

Still, Jayson Tatum stole the show with a triple-double of 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. He became the first Boston player to record a triple-double in the Playoffs since Marcus Smart in 2020.

Miami couldn’t handle Boston’s three-point shooting, as Joe Mazzula’s team tied the franchise’s playoff record with 22 threes made.

Erik Spoelstra couldn’t count on injured Jimmy Butler; Bam Adebayo led the way with 24 points and six rebounds, while Serbian national team player Nikola Jović contributed 10 points with six rebounds.
