Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid expressed frustration over the team’s private matters becoming public.
According to a report by ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Sixers held a team meeting following their loss to the Miami Heat, during which Tyrese Maxey reportedly called out Embiid for frequently being late to team activities, urging the 2022-23 NBA MVP to set a better example as a leader in the locker room.
When asked about the meeting after the Sixers’ defeat to the Memphis Grizzlies, Embiid didn’t mince words.
“Whoever leaked that is a real piece of s–t. We discussed a lot of things, but I’m not going into details. That particular topic lasted about 30 seconds, nothing more,” Embiid said.
