The worst of news unexpectedly came for the San Antonio Spurs.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Victor Wembanyama is set to miss the remainder of the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season due to a deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder.

The Texan franchise confirmed the news through an injury update statement.

A few days ago, the 21-year-old generational talent participated in his first All-Star Game.

In his second NBA campaign, Wembanyama was averaging 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, trying to push San Antonio to a Play-Ins spot in the Western Conference.

It’s still unclear if he will be able to represent France at the upcoming 2025 FIBA EuroBasket.
