Nobody had ever registered a game with at least 30 points, 20 rebounds, and 20 assists per game, before last night’s NBA action. Indeed, this record was broken by none other than Nikola Jokic.
The Joker put up a stellar performance of 31 points, 21 rebounds, and 22 assists to take down the Phoenix Suns in overtime, winning 149-141 in front of his home crowd in Denver.
He even added 3 steals to his boxscore, shooting 13/22 from the field including 3/7 from deep.
“It’s gonna be nice to go finish my career, on my couch, and think I had a really good game. Right now I’m thinking about how to take rest and recover myself”, he commented in the post-game.
Aiming to become a four-time MVP of the NBA Regular Season, the 30-year-old phenomenal point center has been averaging 28.8 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 10.4 assists per game in the 2024-25 campaign, as Mike Malone’s team is 3rd in the West at 41-22.
“I can’t describe him, the guy is just an incredible player. When you are 1-on-1 in the tremendous history of this league, it tells a lot. Nikola in my opinion is in a class all by himself,” Mike Malone commented.
