While everybody was putting their attention on the matchup between the Denver Nuggets and the Phoenix Suns, as Nikola Jokic had the first-ever 30+20+20 game in NBA History, other games were going on during the night, including the Clippers taking down New York.
Winning 105-95 at home, Los Angeles couldn’t have done it without the significant contribution at the rim by Ivica Zubac, who had a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Moreover, other two Europeans helped the team get over this obstacle: Nicolas Batum (17 points over 5/7 from deep) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (8 points and 12 rebounds), who came off the bench.
“We stick together, that was a good team win,” the French veteran then commented. “I was open, I don’t think Thib (Tom Thibodeau) got some game plan for me,” he added about his shooting night.
On the New York Knicks side, OG Anunoby had 11 points and 8 rebounds in the loss.
Elsewhere in the league, Jonas Valanciunas had 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists to help Sacramento beat the Spurs; in San Antonio, Jeremy Sochan had 9 points and 8 rebounds.
