With the NBA Regular Season entering its final stage, every game matters for teams contending for the Play-Ins or the Playoffs. The same applies to the Houston Rockets, one of the best teams in the West.
Even what looks like an easy challenge against the Dallas Mavericks, deprived of all their star power except for a very few assets, could have been a trap for the Rockets, which still emerged 133-96.
Alperen Sengun was the protagonist of his team’s victory, as the Turkish gem finished with a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds, while also sharing 4 assists.
Speaking about Turkish centers, in Philadelphia’s loss to Indiana Adem Bona started the game and finished with almost a double-double at 16 points and 9 rebounds. Next to him, Guerschon Yabusele captured 15 rebounds.
Elsewhere in the league, Rudy Gobert (12 points and 12 rebounds) helped Minnesota against the Orlando Magic, with Paolo Banchero dropping 43 points and Franz Wagner adding 16.
Sandro Mamukelashvili and Jeremy Sochan combined for 27 points but they weren’t enough as San Antonio dropped the loss to Charlotte; Domantas Sabonis’ triple-double of 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists wasn’t also sufficient for Sacramento against Phoenix.
