Leaving Real Madrid to turn the dream of returning to the NBA into reality, Guerschon Yabusele fully intends to stay in the league now, entering free agency.

He assured his position in an interview with Hoopshype. “100 percent, I made it clear. I really, really want to stay in the NBA, now that I have a real reason over here, I want to do some more,” he said.

“Watching the playoffs, you watch those guys having fun, you always look, I want to be there. My competitive side is really pushing me to work hard this summer, try to get everything that I can to come back next season, and crush it even more,” the French forward commented.

Attracting Philadelphia’s attention following his huge run at the Olympic Games with the French national team, he averaged 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

“We will see those options also with the upcoming summer when we’re going to know a little bit what’s going on. I know the Sixers are going to look to change some pieces in the roster, so you have to wait also to see what’s gonna happen,” he also said.

“The Draft’s gonna set everything pretty much for every team to know where they’re going with the trades and stuff like that. I guess we’ll see soon, but I’m pretty excited. It’s going to be my first time really enjoying free agency, especially in the NBA.”

“I’m pretty excited just to hear the offers, see what’s going on, see the movement. This summer is going to have a lot of movement on every team, so to be able to be part of that is just amazing,” Yabusele said.
