The Detroit Pistons‘ strong season is starting to pay off. According to ESPN, the Michigan franchise has extended JB Bickerstaff’s contract.
Bickerstaff has been responsible for putting the Pistons in first place in the East, the first time since the 2006/07 season. Detroit has a record of 60 wins and 22 losses and has beaten the Orlando Magic in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs (4-3), after coming back from a 3-1 deficit.
In June 2024, he signed with the Pistons and has led the Michigan franchise to the playoffs in both seasons he has been with the team. In his signing in 2024, he signed for five seasons.
He previously spent five seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers, including two playoff appearances. Specifically, the Detroit Pistons will face their former team, the Cavs, in the Eastern Conference playoff semifinals.
