The organization is eager to avoid unnecessary uncertainty by locking in the Serbian play-caller who has already earned a reputation for a direct and honest coaching style. Since becoming the tenth head coach in franchise history in 2023, the Cacak native has successfully navigated a significant transition period for the roster. His journey to this point included nearly a decade as an NBA assistant with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns, and Memphis Grizzlies, following developmental stints in Europe and a tenure leading the Tulsa 66ers.
A vital component of recent success has been the breakout performance of Sandro Mamukelashvili. The Georgian forward flourished as a versatile big under Rajaković’s guidance and has expressed a deep desire to remain in Toronto.
