Power forward of Panathinaikos and Greek National team decided not to “test” himself in this year’s Draft and to enter the process next year, having a full year at NCAA with North Carolina.
There he will meet his national team (and Panathinaikos) teammate Neoklis Avdallas, who transferred to the historic college from which Michael Jordan graduated and remains a fan of.
Samodurov started the season impressively, winning the bronze medal at the EuroBasket 2025 as an important member of Vassilis Spanoulis’ national team.
However, he could not find sufficient playing time at Panathinaikos in the EuroLeague, where he had 13 appearances (averaging 2.6 points in six minutes per game), while in the Stoiximan GBL he counts so far 4.0 points in 17 games.
The 21-year-old big man also faced several injury problems, so the season he recorded does not “catch the eye,” and his withdrawal from the NBA Draft is considered natural.
