Oklahoma City Thunder will not defend their NBA title in the grand Finals, and the reason for that is the San Antonio Spurs.
After seven thrilling games, the Spurs entered the Finals by defeating the Thunder away in Game 7 (111-103).
One of those who did not shine in this Playoff, especially in Game 7, is Chet Holmgren, who scored only four points in 33 minutes, with just two field goal attempts.
This was discussed in an episode of “Run it Back” on FanDuel TV, where Chandler Parsons took a shot at Holmgren.
“I do think there is some sort of mental block when it comes to Victor Wembanyama. I really do. I don’t think it is like Space Jam, but I don’t think he can take two shots in Game 7. You don’t play 33 minutes and take two shots. I would rather live and die with going down with Ajay Mitchell out and Jalen Williams out. I would rather have him be 0 for 15 than one for two.”
Both players entered the NBA in the same year, and Chet won a ring with the Thunder last season. Wemby will have the chance to do so this year if his Spurs outperform the New York Knicks in the finals.
