Simone Fontecchio will wear the Miami Heat jersey next season, since he is close to signing a one-year contract.
This information was reported by NBA insider Shams Charania.
“Free agent Simone Fontecchio intends to sign a one-year deal to return to the Miami Heat, sources tell ESPN. Heat officials worked with Fontecchio’s agent at Excel Sports Management, Sam Goldfeder, to bring back the shooter who averaged 8.5 points and 37.5% 3-point shooting.”
Miami Heat have already undergone significant changes this summer, as Giannis Antetokounmpo has joined the team led by Erik Spoelstra, forming a tandem with Bam Adebayo. Alongside him, Bobby Portis has also arrived in Miami, while Tyler Herro, Kel’El Ware, Jaime Jaquez, and Kasparas Jakucionis have moved in the opposite direction.
Fontecchio has been part of the NBA since 2022, playing his first two seasons for the Detroit Pistons. After that, he spent a year with the Utah Jazz before moving to Miami.
