Trey Lyles returns to the NBA. After one season with Real Madrid, the Canadian power forward is heading back to the American league to play for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

According to Mike Scotto, Lyles is signing a one-year deal with the Minneapolis franchise. After not renewing with the Spanish club, the talented player decided to try his luck in the NBA again.

He will join a completely revamped team, without Julius Randle and with LaMelo Ball as the main new addition. Alongside him will be familiar names such as Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, Jaden McDaniels, and others.

This will be Lyles’ eleventh NBA season. The former Kentucky, Sacramento, Denver, and San Antonio player arrives in Minneapolis to strengthen the Timberwolves, who are expected to remain contenders in the Western Conference.
