Giannis Antetokounmpo has officially arrived in Miami for the first time since the blockbuster trade that sent him to the Heat, ending a remarkable 13-year run with the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Greek Freak traveled from Wisconsin to South Florida to begin the next chapter of his illustrious career. Before landing in Miami, Antetokounmpo made a stop in Atlanta, where he attended the FIFA World Cup semifinal between Argentina and England.
Speaking briefly to the Heat‘s media team, who welcomed him at the airport, Giannis shared his excitement about the days ahead.
“I’m excited. I’m going to the arena tomorrow morning, then we’ll have the press conference. I’m excited, I feel good,” Antetokounmpo said.
His official introduction as a Miami Heat player is expected to take place on Thursday, marking the beginning of a new era for both the franchise and one of the NBA’s biggest superstars.
