Dennis Schröder is on the move once again.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are trading the 32-year-old guard to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Tre Mann, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Charlotte will become the 12th NBA team of Schröder’s career and his sixth in the past 20 months. He has now been traded nine times and is set to play under his 15th head coach.
Schröder averaged 8.2 points and 4.3 assists across 30 regular-season appearances for Cleveland, but his production and efficiency declined during the playoffs.
The deal gives Charlotte an experienced backcourt option, while replacing Schröder with Mann creates additional room below the luxury-tax aprons for Cleveland. The Cavaliers are expected to continue reshaping their roster after being swept by the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals.
