Miikka Muurinen has been involved in an off-court incident. The Finnish player, who left Partizan for Arkansas and will play in the NCAA under Calipari, was fined for driving without a license and speeding.

According to Sportando, the player endangered traffic and will have to pay an €872 fine. These events took place in May in Finland, and the Finnish Prosecutor’s Office has sanctioned him with 28 payments of 29 euros, plus 60 to complete the 872.

His driver’s license in the United States expired in September 2025, and he was driving 76 kilometers per hour in a 40 km/h zone, endangering traffic and pedestrians.

Miikka Muurinen will play next season in Arkansas under John Calipari, on one of the most competitive teams in the SEC and the entire NCAA. He will do so after a year to forget at Partizan, where he was not part of the rotation.
