Kawhi Leonard has signed a new two-year contract with the Toronto Raptors worth $115 million, reported Shams Charania.
Leonard will also have a player option to sign and remain a member of the Raptors for the 2028-2029 season.
Kawhi won a ring with Toronto in 2019, in his only season as a member of the Raptors. From the beginning of the summer, it seemed that his trade to the Raptors was inevitable, but the entire process was slowed down due to an investigation involving him, Steve Ballmer, and the Clippers franchise.
In the end, Leonard was not penalized, the trade sending Brandon Ingram in the other direction was finalized, and now Kawhi will be wearing the Canadian team’s jersey for at least two more seasons.
