Ariel Hukporti has suffered a torn right Achilles tendon, ending his season before it even began.
This information was reported by Shams Charania, who also confirmed that the German center will undergo surgery during the day.
Hukporti sustained a non-contact injury during a preseason game against the New York Knicks. It was immediately clear that it was a serious injury, similar to what Mike James experienced a few days ago, and now Charania has confirmed that Ariel will miss the entire season.
The German player had just joined the 76ers from the Knicks this summer. Last season, he managed to win an NBA ring with New York and also has an NBA Cup with the same team.
