The Sacramento Kings lost second-year center Maxime Raynaud after what appeared to be a serious right knee injury late in the first half of their preseason game at the Golden State Warriors.

Raynaud set a screen for rookie guard Darius Acuff Jr. with Golden State‘s Stephen Curry nearby to defend it. Raynaud took contact on the outside of his right knee and immediately yelled in pain. He was moved to the locker room in a wheelchair.

The team officially ruled him out with a right knee injury early in the third quarter; still it’s no other official update about his situation is available yet.

This game also marked the return of Ben Simmons to the NBA after 529 days.

The Warriors won 111-106, while the Suns beat the Spurs 102-98, with Victor Wembanyama having 13 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

In another prep game, the Timberwolves prevailed over the Heat (125-124), with Nikola Jovic scoring 16 points for the losing side. Simone Fontecchio and Pelle Larson added 14 points each for Miami.
