The Philadelphia 76ers are converting Tacko Fall’s Exhibit 10 deal into a two-way contract, ESPN’s Shams Charania reports, filling their final two-way roster spot ahead of the regular season.
The 30-year-old center joined Philadelphia in early September but suffered a hip strain that limited his training camp participation and sidelined him for the entire preseason. Despite that setback, the Sixers are retaining the 7-foot-6 big man as they strengthen their frontcourt.
Philadelphia’s need for depth increased after Ariel Hukporti suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in the team’s preseason opener. Fall provides another option as the Sixers prepare to manage Joel Embiid’s workload throughout the regular season.
Fall previously appeared in 37 NBA games across three seasons with the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers from 2019 to 2022, averaging 2.2 points and 2.1 rebounds in 6.2 minutes per game.
