Brandon Miller agreed to a five-year, $209 million rookie-scale extension with the Charlotte Hornets, his representatives told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The No. 2 pick in the 2023 draft averaged a career-best 20.2 points, along with 4.9 rebounds, while shooting 38.3% from three across 65 games last season. Charlotte went 41-24 with him available and 3-14 without him, ultimately losing in the second play-in game.
Miller underwent shoulder surgery in May but has fully recovered and played in preseason. Entering his fourth NBA season, he is expected to take on greater responsibility after the Hornets traded LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges.
