The game between Detroit and Boston at 9:00 p.m. CEST on Tuesday will mark the start of a new NBA season.
The NBA announced today that the opening-night rosters for the 2026–27 season feature 125 international players from a record-tying 43 countries across six continents.
Interestingly, after the United States, France will have the most players in the league, with as many as 17 representatives in the world’s strongest basketball league. France overtook Canada, which has 16 players, while Australia has nine.
In terms of teams, the Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards, and Miami Heat have the most international players, with seven each.
